This page is dedicated to Pat. Her strength was unwavering, her compassion for others humbling and her courage inspiring. It’s been 2 years and the memories are still as strong as ever. My beautiful daughter Chloe (aged 8) brought a tear to my eye today. She drew a lovely picture of a willow tree by a river with lots of purple flowers. On the back she had written "This picture contains memories of Patricia Thornley". This update is once again all about thank yous! You will see from our fundraising target that we've gone past the 3K barrier. WOW, thank you for your continued support. Pat Thornley Celebration Day - The ladies of Lakeside Lodge Golf Club once again organised a special charity event day in memory of mum. Dad and I were there to see each them off at the first. It was very special, being held on her birthday! I couldn't be there this year, but by all accounts it was a fantastic day that flowed on to a celebratory dinner in the evening. At the end of the event they had raised £785. A fantastic achievement. Thank you all! And the winners were ... Joy Ball, Gill Downs, Wendy Scoates and Phil Ball (see the picture in the Gallery). Summer Breeze 2013 - Participants raised £137 for the fund in this 9.5 mile walk around Graffam Water. This annual event is organised by Carole Johnson, gymnasium manager at RAF Wyton. This year Carole was sick and, in her absence, thanks go to Chloe Macdonald and Andy Warren who did a great job stepping in and taking over the majority of the planning and advertising.
